Activities

PROGRAMS-Twelve exciting educational programs each year on a variety of topics appealing to both the beginner and experienced quilter.

BLOCK OF THE MONTH - The pattern and colors for block of the month are in each newsletter. Block of the month is a chance to win a number of blocks by entering as many as you like. Debbie Collarin, block of the month chairperson, will be designing the block of the month for a quilt that incorporates all the blocks. You could make a block to put in the drawing at the meeting and make one for yourself and end up with a quilt in a year! More to come about that!

WORKSHOPS - Workshops are held for LAQ member four to five times a year and are only open to members. These workshops are taught by other LAQ members. The fee is $10.00 for an all day (Saturday) workshop held at a local school.

CHARITY QUILTS - Charity quilts is a way for members to give back to the community by donating quilts made for special needs organizations. Material, supplies and (the most precious of all) time is donated by members. Charity quilt workshops are held each month except June, July and August. The workshops are open to all skill levels and are held in the Haddon Heights VFW.

LIBRARY - Love Apple Quilters has a library of quilting books and magazines available to borrow for a month at a time. The library is brought to each meeting.

BOOK AND MAGAZINE ORDERS - This is a special service for members who would like to save up to 40% on books and magazines.
